Outcomes of the SOLWARIS project were presented during the workshop dedicated to the topic “Materials & Processes for Thermal Solar System”. Half-day online workshop was organized within the frameswork of H2020 funded project IN POWER on 27 October 2020.

The 26th edition of SolarPACES 2020 was successfully held online for the first time. 530 participants from 36 countries joined this new experience and benefited from over 200 presentations and 140 posters.
The SolarPACES community proofed that a pandemic does not stop inspiring research and progress, interactions, and lively discussions between experts worldwide.

SolarPACES 2019 conference took place in Daegu, South Korea on 1 – 4 October, 2018.
The event offered a scientific and technical conference program that provided an opportunity for industry, research, political and financing stakeholders and experts around the world to gather and share insights into recent R&D activities and new developments in CSP technology with a focus on development, marketing and commercialization.
SOLWARIS project was presented at the booth of H2020 CSP projects together with other CSP related project funded from European Commission. SOLWARIS consortium was represented at the booth by Project Manager Václav Smítka (AMIRES).
In addition, SOLWARIS results were presented through:
- oral presentation by Peter King (CU) on the topic: Effect of Concentrated Solar Power plants on the socio-economic and livelihood assets of the local community and environment. Presentation is available here.

To conclude, several consortium partners – DLR, FENIKS, RIOGLASS – presented their companies´ activities and product portfolio at dedicated booths within the exhibition connected with the conference.

inDust User Workshop on Solar Energy took place in Offenbach, Germany on 19 – 20 February, 2018.
The event provided the opportunity to learn abour the state of the art concerning mineral dust reasearch (forecasts, measurements, products), to share experiences about dust outbreaks and how they influence operations with other users and developers and also to shape future research activities. The speakers consisted of representatives from inDust COST Action, National Weather Services, Research Institutions, TSOs, DSOs, Plant operators, etc.
SOLWATT project was presented in the frame of the Research & Development section by Stelios Kazadzis (PMOD/WRC) on behalf of Fabian Wolfertstetter et al. (DLR). SOLWATT presentation is available here.

Industrial Technologies 2018 conference took place in Vienna, Austria on 30 – 31 October, 2018.
INDTECH is the European Commission’s most prominent biannual conference on industrial technologies and this edition gathered more than 1000 key stakeholders from more than 30 countries in Europe and across the globe.
SOLWATT presentation was part of the AMIRES booth at the exhibition, which was a side-event of the INDTECH 2018 conference. Visitors will had the opportunity to check the roll-up and other dissemination materials of the project as well as to speak with Václav Smítka (AMIRES) – project manager of SOLWATT project.
SolarPACES 2018 conference took place in Casablanca, Morocco on 2 – 5 October, 2018.
The event offered a scientific and technical conference program that provided an opportunity for industry, research, political and financing stakeholders and experts around the world to gather and share insights into recent R&D activities and new developments in CSP technology with a focus on development, marketing and commercialization. With some 570 participants from 41 countries, SolarPACES 2018 was a great success.
SOLWATT project was presented in the frame of the WASCOP CSP WORKSHOP dedicated to the topic of “Water Consumption in CSP plants”. H2020 2nd Coordinators’ Workshop on Concentrated Solar Power took place in Brussels on 26 June 2018.
The event was organised by Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA). It provided an opportunity to present all EU-funded projects on Concentrated Solar Power topic as well as share results and highlight challenges in dedicated field.
SOLWATT consortium was represented by Project coordinator – Mr. Luis Millan (TSK) and Project manager – Václav Smítka (AMIRES).
